about me

as said on my main page, hi, i'm kris or shortcake. i...don't really know what an about me page is for. i suppose I can talk about myself and my interests.

my special interests are strawberry shortcake, pokemon, and sonic. i love talking about them and are constantly thinking about them :) other big interests are legend of zelda, both versions of young justice (1998 comics and 2010 show, not the newer comics), roller skating, game design + general video game/entertainment history, old web, fashion, programming, comic making, animation, and lost media. music i like is mostly stuff like zebrahead, lunachicks, autopilot off and band-maid, but i'm also partial to a bit of eurobeat (take this how you will).

recently i've become interested in final fantasy (7 & 9, but thinking of getting into maybe 8 and 13) and kingdom hearts. unfortunately the linux/batocera pc-unit-lump-of-metal-in-my-lounge-room died so the data for my psp crisis core save file is kinda trapped on a usb. i had also started the og version of ff7 but um. accidentally wiped all of it while trying to change storage setup on aforementioned now-dead batocera so i'll get back on that soon. don't have the money for a fancy pc or ps5 to play the new remakes but i am watching other people play and have many a thought upon them !! kingdom hearts though, i've been trying to put off actually playing the games due to school and once again my poor emulating machine is now dead and i wanna play them a little bit in order at least but i HAVE read all the mangas and read a few of the novels. i've started kingdom hearts i, but also played a decent bit of 358/2 days and DDD, mostly because they're on the 3DS.

i've also been playing ace attorney recently, in between stressing about classes and exams and all that. i've played AA123 & AJ:AA, and i'm playing AAI1 as of writing. i love the characters very much; my favourites so far are maya, phoenix, franziska, edgeworth and trucy (i think maya or nick might be my FAVOURITES though, y'know how it is) and i'm really looking forward to playing the rest !! if you know me though, please don't spoil it haha

i got really into TWEWY/NEO: TWEWY earlier this year too, even dressed as shoka for my local comic con !! played through the story of both of them, just working on getting all the secret reports and items and all that :) love it a LOT !! when i make that blog of mine work maybe i'll stick all my thoughts on it in there because holy fucking SHIT have you guys played it !! not to be that guy but if not: you really should. its absolutely worth it. changed my perspective on the people around me, on art, on who i am and who i want to be because goddamn. yeah.

i also love to draw and write - yes, fanfics and fanart, but original stuff too - so keep an eye out for that !! i also really really love ranting about stuff i love. so maybe i'll make a page for that too !! the digital world is my oyster.
